The Snapper prices, quoted from their own packages page

This London photographer publishes the two variables that move photography prices most and that almost nobody prints: the day of the week and the season. It also publishes the additional hour rate, which is the number an organiser most often discovers on the night rather than in the quote.

Where this supplier works

Taken from the supplier's own priced page, which states the currency it charges in and the area it covers. We do not credit a market to a supplier on the strength of a claim to cover the country.

Day, season and the overrun rate

Saturday in season is the most expensive combination and midweek out of season is the cheapest, and the published figures put real money on that difference. For a couple whose date is genuinely movable, this is one of the clearest arguments in the whole record for looking at a Friday.

The published additional hour rate is worth as much as the package figures. Weddings overrun, and the moment you want an extra hour is the moment you have the least room to negotiate one. A photographer who has already printed that rate has removed the awkward conversation before it happens.

Questions organisers ask before they book

Why does the season change the price?
Demand. Peak season Saturdays sell out first, so they are priced highest, and winter midweek dates are the easiest to fill and priced accordingly. The published list separates them explicitly.
How many hours do I need?
Work backwards from the moment you want the last photograph of. Coverage that ends after the first dance is the common choice, and it is usually one or two hours longer than couples first estimate.
Is London more expensive?
In this record the London figures sit above the other published photography ladder, which is why both entries name where they were priced. Travel to and from a London venue is a real cost for a photographer based elsewhere too.
