Read in full, publishes no figure

20 named sources were read in full on the dates shown and print no usable figure. They are counted, never filled in.

Methodology

Every row is a verbatim sentence read from the named source's own page through our fetch service on the date shown, hash-pinned to the stored read (the sha of the page's visible text; the raw page is mirrored to R2).

9 of the 29 named sources that could be read published a usable figure; 20 published none and are recorded as not published, never filled in; 2 could not be read (blocked, dead or unreachable) and count nowhere.

The headline figures (median, minimum, maximum, quartiles) are over ONE figure per source in USD (a source's median where its page yielded several accepted sentences), so N counts sources, never sentences; 268 candidate sentence(s) were refused by a reviewer with the reason recorded.

The fuller derivation this dataset is chartered to grow into (not yet what the figures above are; they are each source's own published figure as read): the per-hour and per-day hire rate per space per city, normalised across the three ways this market quotes - a flat hourly rate, a day rate, and a minimum spend that replaces the hire fee - so a $350/hour Brooklyn loft, an $8,100 city-hall room and a £20.76/hour community centre are comparable; the median and the tenth percentile per city (the tenth percentile is what 'small party venues near me' is actually asking for); the public-versus-private spread, which is the finding this dataset owns, because councils and city agencies publish exact rate cards while private venues publish ranges, and nobody has ever put the two side by side; and the surcharge structure (weekend uplift, minimum hours, cleaning, service charge) that turns a quoted rate into the real price

268 candidate sentences on these pages were refused by a reviewer; each refusal and its reason is recorded in the review ledger.
